Walsh & Sons and artisan butcher The Farm House announce the upcoming grand opening of their Cellar Door.
“‘The whole is greater than the sum of the parts is an expression we often use in winemaking,” said Ryan Walsh who overseas both of the entities.
“I’m excited that we have the opportunity to bring our family businesses together here in Margaret River on the Hohnen property. There is a wonderful synergy between the two both in our people and product and the offering unique in its connection directly to the consumer.
“We’ve had a ‘soft’ opening for a few weeks, but we’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to create something different to enhance the visitor experience including a butcher’s window, space for a food van and an outside wine tasting area.
“The Cellar Door will officially be open on Sunday 2nd January at 10am with local food van vendor Nortena/Feelin’ Chippa adding to the offering every weekend throughout January.”
The Cellar Door sits in an idyllic location on Caves Road, just under a kilometre north of the turnoff to Prevelly. With sloping lawns to native bushland, the rustic cellar door provides the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and casual wine and food experience.
